Default Busted at GMR

LAST night was one of the craziest nights i've ever been in. Going up to GMR is like a routine at night for us over the weekends. So last night couple of my friends went up there again, cops hiding was unexpected. When we all made it to the top, everything seemed fine. NO cops were there, everyone hanging out like the usual. One of my friends decided to do a quick drift down a turn...Causing no trouble or anything. IN a matter of minutes, all these cops showed up there, with bikes ..to surround everyone and to block off the road so theres no way out. Cops were hiding behind the gate up the hill for awhile, just watching everyone get up there and wait to surround us. They told everyone to put up their hands and stand by their car, searched everyone , n of course everyone's rides. They Towed my friend who drifted up there and some other people's 240 with sr20. I got a ticket for no front lisence plate, they funniest thing was that the cop was trying to find things to cite me...but he couldnt. He made me turn on my HID's, pump my brakes, check signal lights, and rev my car. He couldnt find anything else to write up. It was crazy, i've been to GMR so many times and last night was just crazy. There were at least 7-8 highway patrol..maybe more than that...but everyone got busted for something dumb. ..........i'll miss going up there ....

Cops are out in fullforce cause of TFATF 3. Also alot of stations got extra money from a grant to go towards stopping racers and citing cars that are modified ie. noncarb items. Sorry to hear.

LOL, I was going to ask the same....

There will be a lot of this going on for a while now because of FF3 and all the rapist, murderers, child molestors will be thankful because they get to do their thing without having to worry about being arrested since the cops are out there busting import cars....

go figure

But in the end it all comes down to the same old: Race at the track not on the streets/canyons

I think this is more due to the recent carjackings there than F&F. It's a shame either way.

Drifting always cause some kind of trouble But be glad you only got a fix it ticket. Did any of you tape the scene.. That would be a good film to show to friends actually being surrounded by cops Anyways, glad you are ok... Just cruise a lil more casual next time haha.

It's not always about racing, I drive my car on the road and go the speed limit (for the most part) and I have been hassled. I know I have parts that are not Carb, but lets be real, if I am not casuing any trouble then leave me alone. Perfect example is the guy that drifted should have got in trouble and no one else!

what a night huh wendy? they got me for everything like crack windshield, no front plate and modify exhaust. the thing that i was mad about is that the cop didnt ask me to rev my engine and im sure that my exhaust on my sc300 is much quieter than yours wendy. oh wells the fee for fix it ticket was worth the entertainment. hearing the cop ***** and whine about how scary the road was, that is just hilarious.

This is why I stopped doing canyon runs... fun, but either you worry about cops or you worry about someone comming around a blind corner and taking the curve too wide...
