I recommend calling. They are known for being very flakey/crappy service.

don't listen to the idiots above... just talk to Steve and tell him you're a personal friend of Jeff from VF-Engineering. He'll take great care of you!

I know of the rep, and not defending what the may have done in past, but this is an existing customer who just needs replacement wheels/parts. There is no use in telling he's screwed... I think the reason he posted is to see if anyone can drop a name or help him get back on the road faster

and I apologize for the name calling, I'm just sick and tired of people talking trash on the net, instead of helping out a fellow Z member.

Has anyone dropped their iForged wheels off directly at their location in Anaheim before? Cost, turnaround time?

Just went through this and had to replace two of the wheels. im still waiting... they said it will take 6 to 8 weeks so i still have about 3 more left... your lucky you dont have to replace them and yours are fixable. Mine were not bad at all and they still said they needed to be replaced because of the structure of the wheel or something. Good Luck, hope its not too expensive

How does this help? Are you telling him to throw away his $$$$ wheels because a couple of lips/halves got damaged?

Tell you what, if you don't want to deal with the manufacturer direct, you can purchase replacement rim halves from other places such as:

www.kodiakracingwheels.com
www.hrewheels.com
www.bogartracingwheels.com

Thanks for the help.

I actually dropped my wheels off in person at iForged and Steve took care of the paper work. He told me it would only take two weeks and maybe even less time to replace my wheels. I've heard stories abou them in the past, but he really seemed like a really nice standup guy when I met him.

Could you get more into detail about the damage to your wheels and how it happened? That doesn't make me too happy I don't want to have to replace both wheels as I'm selling the car.

Here's my post from another thread about what happened to me :

I was trying to get off the freeway very quickly and went over a raised portion of the conrete. I ended up hitting it on the right side at about 40mph, and went airborn just a little bit and landed, causing damage to the inner wheel lips on the left side of the car. Oddly enough, there was not a single scratch to the wheels on the right side where I hit first or to any of the tires.

To give you a better idea what the damage to the wheels look like, if you were to dismount the wheels off the car and flipped them face down on the ground, looking at the wheels, the edges of the wheel would be mangled and bent and not perfectly round, which caused the tires to lose air very quickly and rapidly. The tires itself are in perfect condition. The face side of the wheels have no damage at all and mounted on the Z, it looks like I just had a flat tire.

Thanks so much for your help!!

Steve asked me to call him next week... Is it okay if I tell him you're a friend of mine so it may possibly speed things up? It would really help

Sounds good Most of the time I call it's Vince that picks up and not Steve. I hope I can get a hold of him.

BTW, my name is Patrick, just in case Steve asks you

Thanks again Jeff!
