Default Iforged - Here we go again :(

I have had my Iforged Evolutions in brushed aluminum finish since May of this year. Recently, I have noticed several blemishes on the rims. It looks like the rims are peeling - almost as if they are losing a layer of skin. This peeling can be seen on both the face and the lips and dirt is starting to be caught in between layers, which makes the rim look like sh**.

Has anyone else with Iforged's experienced this peeling effect? Any ideas on what this could be? Do I have any recourse with Iforged?

Thanks.

Im guessing these are clearcoated. I've heard a few people having problem with the clearcoat peeling off on the iforged wheels. Mostly likely your gonna have to send them out to get re-clearcoated again. If I were you I would even bother getting the clear coat on the lips again, just get them polished so you wont have to worry about any peeling.

I think if I dropped my car, my 20s would look bigger.

As far as the problems you're having sux2bu, I have a few pits in the lip of my wheels also. But I think they're just knicks from wear & tear. How often do you clean your wheels & what type of cleaner do you use? I clean my wheels at least twice a week w/ just meguiars gold class shampoo & use a wheel wax on them (Wenol pink for face & Wenol blue for lip).

yeah if I were you I would definetly drop it you'll see a big differnce before my drop I though my car look like a 4x4, now it looks sleek & aggresive.

sux2bu, did you get in contact with iforged? what did they have to say about the problem with the clearcoat peeling? hopefully they'll fix it with no hassles and quick(but I highly doubt they'll be quick about fixing though if there doing it free of charge).

I would call Vince immediately also to see if the wheels could be covered under warranty. I also wouldn't expect a quick turnaround...6-10 weeks is what I would guesstimate.

Don't waste your time calling iForged. It will most likely get you no where and more frustrated. They blamed my installer for all the clear falling off mine and fed me a BS line about shipping them back to be evaluated as to whether repairs should be done for free or at my cost. As long as it took to get 'em in the first place (including them shipping me the wrong wheels to begin with), I decided to take care of the problems my self. Just my experience. You will be better off fixing them on your own. Warranty? You gotta be kidding me.
