I need a Z b4 i go out of my mind
Well for the past two years I have been waiting every single day to get a new car. The time has finally come and I have chosen to get a Z. I live in So Cal and I have been to three dealers and have contacted countless dealers via email/phone. So far I haven't been able to find one that I want.
I know dealers come on this forum and enthusiasts alike. So Im asking if any of you can hook me up. This is what I want:
Base Model 6sp
Silverstone
Aero/Kick Plates/Cargo,Trunk Mats..
Basically a Silverstone Base 6sp
I am going out of my mind because NissanDriven.com's inventory search is out datted so everytime i see a Silerstone Base I'm going crazy and calling the dealers but they have already sold their Z. gosh i've never experienced this kinda trouble purchasing a car.
Today one of the dealers that I was at last weekend in So Cal called telling me they have a Z for me. I was so excited and was putting everything down to head down. I called the dealer 10mins later to confirm that I will be there and he told me he didn't have the base! They have the TRACK model and its not even Silverstone, its freakin Chrome Silver! The 10mins of heaven felt great but the past 8hrs have been miserable. As the title of the post says I'm goin out of my mind
Hope some1 here can hook me up, if not than a lil support if any is applicable would be nice to hear.

The best advice - just keep trying. And don't look only at the LA area. Check out San Diego as well, Mossy seems to have a big 'ol inventory. I went through Nissan of Long Beach, and they gave me a pretty good deal, not too much hassle (for a car dealer). Also, you should be able to go to just about any dealer and have them find the model you're looking for.
Trust me, I know about the wait. I had mine on order before anyone had even seen the car, so you're not getting toooooo much pity from me (j/k - it hurts, i know). Anyways, best of luck, also make sure to try the internet sales dept of the different dealerships, they should be able to help you out pretty quickly as well.

thnx for the advise and i have read posts by Jake or whoever he really is from Mossy and visited the site and they didn't have the base model.
as for gettin the base model is becuz my budget was to be 30k out the door and any other model wouldn't allow anywhere near that, at least from what i've seen here in so cal. also i think that the only big difference is the LSD, VDC, and the xenons. I dun think i'll get the LSD or VDC and metdfd (from this forum) said they have an aftermarket hid kit that looks better than the stock. the only thing right now is the drilled pedals... anyone have an idea or picture of the base model's pedals? Basically I would get the Enthu or Perfromance model if i can get a right deal. (dealers? anyone up for the challenge? haha)

all the dealers i've been to are not taking any orders! i hate that. and they say they have no idea when the Zs are coming in. is that true? they really have no idea what car is comin in the lot next week?

Gardena Nissan in Gardena, CA has (as of Yesterday, Saturday 3/1) a Pikes Peak White Base 6 speed with aero, aluminum sills and floor mats at 28K. Give them a call.
Ask for Tatsuya Kobayashi (Tatsu)
Tell him that Jeff Abrams referred you (Redline Enthusiast). Great dealership, and you should be able to get it for MSRP or maybe a little lower.
