gimpster621 can you guys just pay the fine in Cali and get a differal? Thats what i do up here in Seattle, you just promise not to speed for 6 months and the ticket goes away like it never happened. BUT.... If you get another ticket in that 6 months you get both on your record. Good luck fighting it, sounds like those cops have a hard on for you !

The only problem is that with his track record deferred judication is a death sentence to him. He might as well be shooting himself.

Well it sounds like he's been pulled over for the exhaust mostly and not the speeding.

Yeah I gathered that as well from the posts. Whether it be speeding or the exhaust the answer is quite simple, he should get the deferral, and drive a freakin' civic then. He can hold off on getting a ticket and having fun on the road for 6 months versus paying out the *** for higher insurance rates.

That would be great if we could get deferrals here.

im not from socal, but been there enough times to get know that i can do 85 in my z on ANY freeway. that cop was just being a douchebag. the speeding ticket will probably get thrown out (my buddy got a ticket for 74 on the I-5 and it was thrown out), but the license plate and exhaust will prolly stick. regardless of whether or not the OP was speeding, no one, absolutely no one in LA or any other busy part of cali goes 65 unless they are 65 or older.

I thought defferal was an option in lots of bigger cities? slap on the wrist and they get all your money, plus they have the option to stick it to you further if you F up! LOL
