Default Just about died, or wrecked bad

so, Im cruising home from buying some parts in riverside today on the N/B 101 by Simi Valley.

I am at 69 mph and a lifted Ford f150 comes up to my side and passes me at about 75. The truck then slows down and stays along side of me for about a mile. Then out of nowhere, the guy turns into my lane.

When he starts to merge my front left bumper is about at his passenger door. In a split second I look at my mirrors and am already swerving to the right (vehicle behind me a few 100 feet but no one to my right) the next thing I know Im "drifting" at seventy mph at a 45 degree angle with the freeway. I straighten out and then the guy raises his hands, and does one of those "im sorry" motions.

He then takes off at about 90 mph and runs like a chicken ****.

The CHP got a call and put out a reckless driver bulletin to all units in the area.

Probably looked pretty cool from behind though.

Do you think I could have caused any damage to my suspension or alignment?

just be glad you weren't in a mini-van, or you never would have kept it on the road

no no, I called them, they put it out for the truck, because he sped away.

yah, I was rather surprised with the handling.

I tell you though, everyone is in such a hurry nowadays, especially down in LA.

man this has happened to me before. only i was on a two lane highway cruising in the right lane, and beyond the emergency lane was a guard barrier. some dumb driver in the left lane decides it would be a good idea to switch into the right lane where i was. i wasn't even in her blind spot, i was directly to the right of her. i swear i got to be only inches away from the barrier on my right, had to pull back to the left and got to be inches away from the dumbas* driver to my left and finally straightened out. my friend was driving in front and said it looked crazy. if i was in a truck/suv/crappy car, i don't think it would have turned out so well.

That must have been scary. I almost hit a homeless guy last night on a surface street who was pushing his shopping cart against traffic. He was into my lane by a good 5 feet or so, not even on the shoulder...
