Exclamation Need 3-5mm Wheel Spacers Anywhere near Socal - HELP!!

Hey guys,

Just installed a Stoptech FR BBK, but my rear wheels do not clear the face of the brakes. I need basically a 2mm spacer and without one, I cannot drive 150 miles home to San Diego. I am currently located in the San Fernando Valley. Does anyone know of ANY place where I can get wheel spacers tomorrow, Sunday? I am really desperate and will pay extra $$$ for them. Someone please help if they can. Or suggestions on what to do. Thanks.

-Dan

I have some of the cheapy cast 3mm spacers at my house in Walnut. It's off the 60fwy near Rowland Heights. Your welcome to have them (I think I paid like $10 each a while back) as long as it's not too far of a drive for you.

I PM'd you my tel. number just in case.

In a pinch, if it's just 2mm you need, I'd thing you could just stick 2mm worth of washers on each lug and it'd get you home. With that small of spacing, the wheel should still seat and center on the hub and it should be fine, anyway, just to get you home.

As for the actual spacers you'll need, try these:

NSX guys use them frequently to clear the front calipers with aftermarket wheels.

I know Status has some since I got 5mm a while back, but try F1 Motorsports since you are currently in the San Fernando Valley. I'm sure they will have some too.

Thanks for the advice guys and thanks to 03Z33 for the help. I called my local pep boys and they seem to sell generic 5 lug wheel spacers, but they smallest size they stock is .25 inch. Which is 6.5mm and kind of big, so would this be ok to use on the stock bolts?

You should be able to get away with it. Just make sure to count the number of turns when you screw in the first lug nut. You should see at least 4-5 full turns before it is tight to keep it safe.

Ok thanks, only thing I am worried about is that I know my tires will be rubbing pretty bad in the rear. If its that bad, I might just buy them to drive to your house later 03Z33. Thanks again.

Do you know people who use those spacers on Z's?
