Default 93 octane...

is there any place in socal to get 93 octane gasoline? I know some 76 stations sell 100 octane and you can blend it to get 93. Just wondering if if you can get 93 w/o doing that.

also, what's the going rate on 100 octane now-a-days?

I can only think of a few things on top of my head:

1. Move to another state.
2. Buy 100 octane gas for ~7.50 a gallon.
3. Try Torco Accelarator, I never tried it. Whether it helps to boost octane, let us know.
4. Write to your state representative and senator to finally stop screwing us with 91.
5. I tried a mix of VP racing fuel (not leaded), gave my 350Z a good 7rwhp on the dyno.

I've asked the same thing in the past, but I dont think it was here.. anyway.
If you happen to find 93 Octane in Beverly Hills or West LA.. ppssshh. good luck.. you'll be broke within a month or if you got good cash then I would say 3 months. Just for 91 its more than $3.65!

i used to get 93 octane in seattle when i lived there. now i live in l.a., 91 octane sucks. i like to mix 100 octane with 91 when i have the time to drive out to the 76 in aguora hills from the office in chatsworth.

yeah so my advice is to mix.

Canyon Service & Detail on Entrada Drive in Santa Monica Canyon has up to 118 octane...in the valley you can get 93 at the gas station at De Sotto and Vanowen...in east LA/pasadea you can get 100 at the station at Glenarm and Arroyo Parkway...and yeah 76 stations might have 100 you can blend. Seems that 100 octane is going for $5-$6 right now, but who knows, expect to pay more than you already do.

they don't have 93 but they have 100...for $8.

they also have 5 gallon drums of 109 for $65.

Shoot I'm here in Baltimore on vacation. Rented a Mustang convertible for a go around car. I'll see what kind of gas they sell out here, my first time in the east coast, but I heard that its around 2.89 to 2.99/gal.
