Default Need auto insurance that will cover aftermarket parts

Hi everyone. My insurance expired in a month and I have a little delima. I have auto insurance with AAA and they are telling me that aftermarket parts are not covered. I even asked them that if I pay a higher premium can they cover a certain dollar amount of parts that I have purchased if I have receipts? I was told "it is up to the adjuster at the time of loss". This is complete BS to me. I have spoken to 3 different people over the phone and everyone has different answers so I'm ready to drop them and just go with a company that I am confident will cover my valuable possessions. So if any of you have insurance that you are for certain covers aftermarket parts and an adjustor that I can speak to, please let me know. I need coverage of about 20K in aftermarket parts right now as well as the value of the car. Thank you.

I think majority of insurance companies offer coverage for aftermarket parts with a receipt, just make sure u ask the insurance agent when signing up

mercury will do it but they increase your rate. Last time i wanted my Volks covered they charge 1% of the value of your items per month. So i think for my 2k rims, i have to pay an extra 10 bucks a month to cover them..

Or you can shop around and find a broker that does stated value insurance. Pretty much, you tell them what you think your car is worth and then they give you a monthly price based on that. Not sure how they calculate it though.
