Default Help: T.P

i just installed my t.ps and man they are loud with my tanabe system. Is is common for it to rattle so much underneth the car? Also will tuning it decrease the loudness because im considering going back to my stock exhaust system (leaving the t.p and tanabe y-pipe).

Yes its common. All test pipes make noise. No, tuning will not help anything. The stock exhaust sounds like garbage with major rasp paired with test pipes and y pipe. Just live with it or buy some high flow cats

if you want to try this out... put the stock y-pipe in the middle. I know it sounds stupid to think of that, but I did that on mine as it was loud as **** and it calmed it down a lot with the catback and tps it still sounded really mean. if you can get under and try that out you might like it! just put your stock y-ipe in there.

puting a test pipe that connects to a really restrictive Y-pipe makes no sense unless you are getting TP's just for more noise. HFC + catback is the answer.

how the hell does "tuning" make your car quieter? I want to know the logic behind this.

100% agreed sounds like a stupid idea I know, I put the aftermarket y-pipe back in and i guess after months of breaking in the tps it took the rasp away, don't knwo how but it did, so with the full exhaust its great! rasped like hell when i first put the tps on.
