after you get it powdercoated black, you could pinstripe it yourself. it shouldnt be hard really.

If you're a hands on type of guy, try it yourself.

There are lots of different views concerning powdercoating and forged wheels. I would probably just go paint myself, but if you get low-temp powdercoating and don't track the car, you should be fine.

what's wrong with powdercoating forged wheels? Something to do with the properties of the metal?

i am going to give you a priceless tip. go to your local auto store and buy 1/2" pin striping tape: tomato red, i'll look tonight to see what brand i got. if you don't like the look, you can peel it off! thats what i did to my TA's to protect the lip!

i got the professional tape. its a much higher quality product and wont peel off. plus it bonds better to the surface of the wheel. i think it was around $8 or so.

I know it's not a Z but back when I had my MR2 I did the pinstriping on the rims lip to match the paint, I did Blue. It was also a REFLECTIVE blue, so at night it looked pretty cool driving through an intersection... you may not like the reflective look, but here is a day and night shot:

night shot to show how it reflects when hit by light at night:
