Default Audio Shop Recommendation

I have searched and could not pin point a good audio shop for my zr...

I live in Irvine, and I was hoping someone could recommend a good audio shop nearby.

My sub-woofer needs replacing, and I'm wondering if I need to change out all the speakers... I have the stock Bose speakers connected to an Eclipse AVN 5453

Help...

http://www.goldstaraudio.com

Went there to get my head unit installed, and they seem to carry some quality products and have good service.

Dont deal with them. They are horrible. They are only nice when you are buying something. Once they make a sale they dont care about you.

I went there to get a unit instailled in my car, I purchased a new unit from them and had them install to only find out months later when it stopped working that they put in a referbished unit. They denied doing that and said they would not fix and it was not covered under warranty. They totally F***ed me over and left me out a lot of money!

Ouch. How did you find out it was a refurb? If it was "new" like they claim, shouldn't it come with some kind of 1 year manufacturer's warranty? If so, what was there reason for not covering it?

I bought the unit from them. So after I payed for it I gave them my keys they took my car around back told me to come back in a few hours. I did when I got it everything was installed and ready to go.
When it stopped working I took it back to them they took it out and said it was a refub'ed unit and they are not covered under the 1 year warranty.
They accused me of swaping out units or some crazy BS like that. I flipped out and went psycho on them.
I could not prove what they had done, since i didnt watch them install it and it was my word against theirs so I just bent over and took one up the tail pipe, like a man of course
I also payed wayyyy to much for that alpine unit.

They are many better shops around if you need some work done.

Let's keep the recommendations/opinions coming. This is one area we are missing in the So Cal Shops thread. Anyone have any experiences with:

Newport Autosound
Henderson's Car Stereo

Just had to but in here. Gold Star Audio is absolute garbage. If anyone knows anything, they know that it's the same people that run Indo Audio on EBay. Forget about it, you can do much better. They seriously are a bunch of scheming punks. They have gotten so much bad internet press it's no wonder why they went into full retail w/ a showroom instead of expanding through the internet. I seriously hope people spread the word because I hate audio shops for the very reasons listed in this thread.
