you need to change policies because a 1000 deductible is rediculous.

Did you hit a tire that was in the middle of the road or was it bouncing around?

When you report this to your insurance, make sure to say that the tire/rim was moving. This is key as it will then be covered under you comprehensive and your premium will not go up. Will still have to pay $1K either way, but at least you premium stays the same.

If the object is stationary, then you are expected to avoid it.

I don't think $1K deductibles are all that uncommon. This will yield a lower premium so it balances out and will likely be cheaper if you don't have any mishaps.

yes, that's how it works. lower premium at the cost of having a high deductible. As you can see, all the money he has saved over the years for having a lower premium, now time for for a deductible price and he still can't afford it. Insurance always wins.

It was moving but reguardless it's cheaper to just buy a cf hood then claim it to the insurance. So that's what I'm going to do. I barrowed my buddies hood since he had it just sitting in the garage while his Z is in the shop so I have to get one by the end of the month
