I heard passengers are no longer allowed at Streets of Willow track days??!!

can anyone confirm this? i just heard from a friend over the weekend that went regardless of whos throwing the event, passenger ride alongs are strictly prohibited....

NASA had another fatality at Willowsprings and the track is REALLY skiddish about that happening with a passanger. The driver who was killed was in a mini cooper that rolled quite a few times. The driver was not in his restraints when he came to a rest.
For now, it looks like instructors only in the right seat.

I think they still allow it on certain private events, but it looks like no more passengers at public events.

Speed Ventures allow passengers depending on the track and advance permission is needed. I believe Streets of Willow (the track) does not allow passengers for certain events:

However, I brought a passenger with me on Streets of Willow a few months back on a Speed Ventures event. I wasn't stopped, the workers checked my passenger for a band and just told us "No hand-held photos or videos are to be used."
I haven't been back to Streets since March, so I'm not sure if they tighten up the rules again.
