Hey guys,

We had so much fun on our Angeles Crest Cruise, that we're organizing another event at the end of this month on Saturday, August 30th.

The plan is to take this route through OC and out to the ocean and then cruise back up PCH to Huntington Beach(admission is $10) where we are going to have a bonfire. We are planning on arriving at the beach at 5:00p.m. We'll lock down the pits and bring the wood, but you'll need to bring your own goodies. We'll try to provide some community goodies, but don't count on it being enough :secret2:

I know what you mean, but the last time we went out everyone was totally cool. I've been to events like you're talking about When we went up Angeles Crest we had a nice variety of cars and a good time was had by all. Sorry to hear about your car though - crap like that pisses me off. I worked at a grocery store as my first job and used to watch people door ding/run carts into parked cars all the time - it's sad the lack of respect people have for other people's nice cars.

Just to clarify too, (I've gotten some questions on this) this is not a model specific meet. We just wanted to organize some events in the area for our fledgling site (www.motorgen.com) where everyone could come and hang out with other car enthusiasts in the area. So far for this meet I think we're going to have Camaros, Mustangs, Cobras, GTO's, Vette's, TurboBuicks, hopefully some Supras, 350z's, SRT4's, other Mopar, some motorcycles - really a little of everything. The last cruise was a lot of fun with lots of different cars, and this one will really be laid back and it should be beautiful at the beach. If you have any other questions let me know. P.S. Just to address your concerns, we had a 300ZX come with us last time and he had a good time. I'm sorry some other people didn't respect your cars, but this really is a good group. If any of you guys can make it out, we'd love to have some Z's with us.

Sounds like a great time! Is there a plan to get a fire pit earlier than 5:00 PM? If not, I would be willing to grab and hold one in the morning if someone could take over after an hour or two.

My experience with the HB fire pits is that you have to claim one in the morning and literally sit on it in order to have it for the evening.

Yeah, thanks for the warning, we're planning on getting there at 6am and holding down the fort for day It would be horrible to set up a whole cruise and then not have a pit We are going when it opens, so unless something goes drastically wrong - we'll get a pit.

TTT - one week heads up for this. I want to let everyone know that we're aware the beach will be very busy and we're going to have people there when it opens to make sure we get a pit. If anyone has any input or questions on anything, please post it here.

I, unfortunately, have to agree with "surfcity40" and also not go! Horrible experience with SRT-4 owners....

Long story short, was on freeway, two SRT-4's were racing, I passed them in the #1 lane(away from them) while they were in the #3 and #4 lanes, got followed to a Best Buy I was headed to, was talked s**t to for no reason, when I got out of the Best Buy my passanger side was KEYED DOWN TO THE METAL FROM BUMPER TO BUMPER!!! Coincidence? I think not!!!

Never found the two jerk offs so as far as I'm concerned every SRT-4 out there is them! I have no respect for SRT-4 owners AT ALL.....

I'm sorry to hear your story, **** like that pisses me off. I know some cool SRT owners though, so I don't think it's all of them. In every group their are some real douchebags. I've had a Camaro and multiple Mustangs and even within the groups I hung out with we still had a couple asses. I understand if you guys don't want to come along, but I really think it'll be a laid back ride and a good time. I love 350Z's (although I'm not sold on the headlights on 370Z) yet, and it'd be cool to have some come with us. We had a 300ZX TT on our last cruise and I can promise you nobody laid a hand on his car

Alright guys, last post for this, I PROMISE. Here is the way it's going to work Saturday:

We are meeting at Yorba Regional Park at the dirt softball field areas. Here is a link to the Google Map. We are meeting at the field between 2 and 3 P.M. to hang out for a little while. Make sure to go to the field area, and not actually into the park. If you go into the park, they charge you for it.

When we depart the park, here is the route we're taking for the cruise. The cruise should be nice and mellow and last roughly 2 hours. At that point, we will be heading to Huntington Beach.

We(the organizers) are going to be at the beach at 6 A.M. when it opens to make sure we get pits. We are planning on being at a pit near the Brookhurst and PCH entrance to the beach (admission is $12). We are planning on getting to the beach right at 5 P.M for the cruise part of things. A rough map of the area can be found here.

We are going to be bringing some food and drinks (water, chips, etc) and also are bringing cooking grates for people to cook food on. Please bring whatever main dish you would like to have. The grates should be good for burgers, steaks, chicken, hotdogs, of whatever else you guys bring.
