Default Poorly install Clutch

So here's the story:
I got my ACT racing clutch replaced yesterday, and when I picked up my car this morning. I can feel that the clutch is really soft, I mean really really soft compare to the OEM clutch. Doesn't it suppose to fit tighter than the OEM clutch??
Also there is another problem, you guys know when you want to put into 5th gear, you are suppose to put it to the right and push up right?? So when I try to put it into 5th gear today , it wont go in....you need to push really hard to put it in, or push like 0.5 inch away from the right. The guy told me that maybe it's the brand new clutch?? He call me to get used with it, or change the gear box...I am like WTF?? He called me to drive for a few days first, if there is anything bring it back in...

So is it normal after changing the clutch???
Please Help!!!

soft pedal? try bleeding your clutch. Any aftermarket setup shouldn't be SOFTER.

Did you upgrade your pressure plate or just swap out the clutch disk?

Exactly what ACT kit is it? If its a street application, it can feel softer than stock. The JWT is softer than the factory setup but depends on the year.

Really?? But the pressure plate is suppose to hold more torque.. Wouldnt the clutch be stiffer?

5th gear problem is the shifter plate.

^^^ Yeah most likely this is the issue. The shifter plate / gates needs to be adjusted so that all the gears can be engaged smoothly.
