Default 3 days in San Diego, help!!

Hey guys.

My wife and I live in New Mexico. We have never been to San Diego before. I just cashed in some air miles to fly to San Diego Dec 11-14. My wife wants to see the Zoo and of course Sea World. She also thought she heard of a wax museum of some sort?? Couldnt find one on google. Any tips for us on where to eat, or nice areas to walk near the ocean, maybe restaraunts, shops, etc. We got a good deal on this 3 park pass from her work, so we have this pass that lets us go to Seaworld+Zoo+ some sort of wild life park thing.

This is where we are staying.
Hilton San Diego Resort/Spa 1775 E MISSION BAY DRSan Diego, CA 92109

We have a rental car so getting around shouldnt be a problem with a map.

Any input on what we should plan on checking out?

On a side note, we are both 30 yrs old, wife will be 6 months pregnant at that time so definately not looking for club scene type stuff. Thanks again!

Ben

Sea World is really cool and the Zoo is OK but I think the SD Wild Animal Park is better than the SD Zoo. More to see, animals in a better environment IMHO.

Have fun!

There is quite a bit of walking at the above mentioned parks (more so at Wild Animal Park, IIRC). Since she'll be 6mos pregnant, you'll want to make sure she's up for it or take the tram tours whenever possible.

Other things:

Balboa Park- museums etc
Seaport Village- shopping by the water
Scripps Aquarium- A small, but nice aquarium. If you don't do seaworld, get your fish watching fix here.
La Jolla Cove- A nice day at the beach.
Gaslamp - downtown SD. Lots of people watching and good food. Gets crowded with Club people, but still doable even if you just want to go and eat.

All those recome recomendations are good, I'd add go to old town and check out the old town trolly, takes you to every place you want to see, lets you off to check things out and you get back on any other of their trolleys.
