Yeah I'm sitting here in the Compton Court house but I brought my laptop with me so it is not that bad. So far the first group got called in and hopefully I will get out. I wonder since my father is a retired LEO and my older brother is LAPD internal affairs if I do get called in will they pass me up.

to get out of jury duty, hit on the defense attorney when you are being interviewed. works even better if they are the same sex as you

Just served today. Seems like for the past 4 years they've been calling me every damn year. Never actually been selected to a trial, most of the time I'm the first group excused, like today =)
