Heading to Gaslamp District!

Heading to Gaslamp District!
A few of my friends and I are heading to the Gaslamp District (San Diego) at the end of this month and I was wandering if any of you have any suggestions about what bars/lounges to hit up around the area. Preferrably a younger croud in mid to late 20s. Not much of a disco freak so not looking to hit up any clubs. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Oh yeah, not looking to hit up TJ either. Haha.

Gaslamp is pretty much all clubs. Some bars but none that stand out as being a great time. Just walk around and you can get a feel for places from the outside.
If you want to avoid the pretentious scene I would suggest PB.

I can help you out here.
Stingarees ( its a mix of young and older folks )
Onyx Room ( Young crowd, but one of the best music sets i've heard )
On Broadway ( mixed, music is great as well. )
Red Circle ( 20's range )
honestly I would recommend going to Stingarees for dancing and decent music sets or On Broadway has like 5 different rooms to dance. both clubs have pretty decent ratio of women as well. have fun!

thanks. still nothing after a year and a half. too many flaky people.
oh another word of advice when going to downtown. don't use the horton plaza mall. there's a parking garage next to a wamu on broadway and 5th or 6th. its only 12 bucks all night. and its a big garage. alot of people spend 20 + on parking, be smart.

For the bars, since theres so many of them I would suggest just roaming the streets and hitting them all up. Good way to start or end the night is at Star Bar. It's a hole in the wall dive bar but drinks are cheap and the vibe is really casual.
If you prefer the more pretentious upscale spots try to get there early and you'll really have no fuss.
No cover bar/lounges:
Sweet Water Saloon at the Hard Rock (pretentious as hell, but the crowd is attractive)
Altitude on top of the Marriot (nice view of petco park)
J Bar on top of the Salomar (kinda like Altitude but older crowd)
More rowdy type bar?
Tilted Kilt on 10th by Petco Park not really gaslamp (Kind of like Hooters but with school uniforms)
Goose McGillyCutties sp? (good happy hour.)
Biggest clubs are what cbasil mentioned:
On Broadway
Stingaree
Depends what promotion companies are running what for clubs, but the ones listed are pretty standard every week. They're pretty much big clubs with hollywood priced drinks. Cover is also heavy unless you go through the guestlist/bottle service route.
I know some more on the top of my head but that's what I can think of.
