Default Bought a 2004 Z lately?

I was just wondering, has anyone bought a 2004 Z lately in the Orange County area? Just wondering what dealerships are willing to sell below MSRP, and by how much.

I was looking all over Orange County, most places are selling AT msrp and wont deal, at all. A few places even added an extra 3k to 4k dealer markup, cause they are so hot right now. Also, several dealers told me they arnt getting any more shipments in for like 2 months, so you wont see any below MSRP, he could have just been giving me a line though.

I ended up getting mine in NV cause I really wanted Le Manz, and it was worth it. Love my Z

i just bought an 04 performance in l.a. last week. paid a grand under msrp, which i feel was good deal since i had very specific requirements (and you don't see too many perfs in the dealerships).

you didn't tell us what you wanted, but the dealers in here will deal if they see that you are serious about buying the car. especially if you want a touring or enthusiast, you should have no problems negotiating it down. if one dealer won't deal, walk away. i've had several salesmen tell me that msrp is what they sell at and will go no lower. when i walked, most came running after me. some didn't, and it was their loss. if no one in orange county is willing to sell below msrp, someone in l.a. will.

my best advice for you is have a target price in mind before you go to the dealer. the first one that hits your magic number (don't ever tell them what it is, lie and make it lower if they pressure you for one) can have your business. remember, car dealers often try to convince you that you have to work for the privilage of buying a car from them. but you're the one with the money, and if they want some, they need to meet your terms to earn your business.

Default Paid 1300 under MSRP

paid 32000 for my 2004 Z 5AT Touring. thats around 1300 below MSRP. no nav or aero kit. but everything else. Haggeled for hours and they finally gave in. Dealrs are not moving too much belowMSRP. A sales guy listening in on the deal said I got a very good price. Now I am in he process of trading in my one week old Z for a new Track model. Damn I made a mistake wth the AT and am gonna pay lovely for it. The dealer will not move off of MSRP I had to walk from the deal. I am going back tomorrow to try and get it for 34000. After a nice long drive up and down pacific coast highway I knew I could'nt face paying 5 years of my hard earned cash for a car my heart wasnt in. The dealer is gonna give me 31000 on the trade back. For all you AT owners the car is awsome and I know it's a ton of fun to drive, but after test driving a Track 6MT it's not even funny. The manuels are evil. thats all I am gonna say about that.

so are you saying it only cost you $1000.00 (plus tax and license) to swap out of the auto Z? not bad, how much was it when you add in t+l? 3500? ouch!

No I am paying way more for the swap.

I will lose a 1000 on the trade. they gave me 31 I paid 32. Remeber I also paid tax and cali DMV fees. now the track I am working on a price of 34, (thats 1000 over msrp give or take). that is 3000 more than the touring trade in. Not a great deal but I want out of the auto and I have been to 4 different dealers and everyone has been pretty firm on the msrp on the higher end models. thats 3000 xtra for the Track and 3500 again for tax and fees. thats 6500 to make the switch. lesson learned the hard way. but in the end I will have my TRACK!

UPDATE: Mission Accomplished! 2004 Black 5AT is history and 2004 Silver Track has been aquired! lost a load of cash but gained a Demon. I am happy now!
