Wait a minute.....I dont even street race...as a matter of fact I f.uckin hate street racers. This is bad news because pigs are now even more strict on busting and pulling over ANY car they think are illegally modified. Even though you don't have any illegal mods..they'll probably bust you for some bs like having a loud exhaust or some ****. I'm just saying, daygo police are even more strict than they were before (as if they weren't already). I just don't feel pure car enthusiasts should deserve to get f.ucked over. Just a heads up!

Beware
"Enforcement" (what the police call it) or "revenue collection" (what we call it), is way way up in the last 12 months. The cities are using their police force to seek out and gather money from the citizens ... the equivalent on the mid-evil king sending his troops out into the field to rob the peasants of their harvest during tough times. I know of a handful of people in my circle of friends (plus me) who have been cited for the first time in 20-30 years of driving for an infraction.
It use to be if you had a blown tail light you'd get a warning ... now it's a fine. It use to be if you did a "California stop" they'd run your license and registration and give you a warning ... now it's a fine. My city laid off 40 workers - the first time in the cities history of laying off anybody. The cops are sent out to gather revenue pure and simple.

But the good news is the revenue collection activities have started to back up the court system. I requested a court date on Jan 17th and haven't gotten anything back at all (for too fast for conditions, wasn't speeding, no accident, minimal traffic). I have to go look up the Florida rules regarding the right to a speedy trial. But if this keeps up I might just get out of it on that basis alone.

Good News? Less street racing, less accidents.
Bad News? Regular enthusiasts get caught in the middle of this crusade.
It's easy to say "do nothing wrong and you won't get pulled over" but a few people are going to get inconvenienced for sure.
I just hope their "Education courses" cover enough where they know what constitutes as street racing behavior/ mod-tendencies etc versus just car modding. We've had it pretty bad a few years back with Dragnet, but now it's just going to be a straight up witch hunt.

i got pulled over today by baldwin park drag net but they let me go.
the 2 cops that pulled me over were very professional and they didnt treat me as some kid. they explained why and after it all we had a good lil convo before he let me go.
i already knew i was asking for it running bright green wheels with a roll cage. haha just keep the engine stock and u're safe.

There are some people out there that drive very aggressively, in modded cars or not. I think they should focus on aggressive drivers, the Chief was dead on when he said it was the mindset.
