buy the gauge, it's easy to do and you may not want to drive a car that you think has an internal issue

 

Just wanted to know where the motor stands in regards to condition before FI. Gauge huh?

 

+1 on info. I was told to do the same for the same reason. I was quoted $150 for compression and leak down test. Legit?

Upon further research apparently not that hard to do and may not be worth the trouble . Guess It can also be done electronically through one of the Comp ports .
Anyone know where i can get one of those done.?

 

buy the guage to test compresson, take a sparkplug out, screw it in and let the engine turn 3 times with out starting it

 

And the Gauge costs how much exactly? What would I be searching for if I were to buy it?

go see brandon at stimulated motorsports in huntington beach he just did a compression test on my buddys turbonetics z tell him the price you were quoted and im sure hell work something out with you. its the only shop i take my cars too.
