Parking can be tough at Rattlers as I recall. I think Harleys for lunch would be great.

I'm working with Harley to see if there is a solution to the parking up there...that's pretty limited too but I think we can make it work...I'll get back to you ASAP on this...as far as the meeting place it is the Kohl's Shopping Center parking lot just west of the 23 at New L.A. Avenue...make sure you get off at "New" L.A. Avenue since there is also an exit at L. A. Avenue....Gapish?

As Sho said, we will meet there at 9am and leave at 9:30. I've told Harley to expect us around 11-11:30 for lunch. After lunch we can continue the run.

There is no Coffee shop in the Kohls Center so bring your own or stop before you get there. Please make sure your tanks are full at the start of the run and set your walkies to CH 7...If we get this out of the way now it eliminates a lot of confusion at the meeting place

I'll post more as I think of it

Hey, is there a lake or a beach or a campsite or something near the end of the run where we could kick it for the afternoon?

There is a lake about a mile or two from the Rock Inn but that would be about the midpoint of our run

The latest from the Rock Inn is that they can accomodate us but probably not all at one table..Sunday is their busiest day...we can park along the road so there should be no problem...I think Harley's Rock Inn for lunch around 11:30 works just fine...we can continue with a couple other canyons after lunch

I'll call Harley with a head count the morning of the meet

PAT:
Thank you so much for taking care of the lunch and the run route. That's a great idea to call the restaurant to make a reservation once we know the headcount for sure. BTW, do you have the exact address of Kohl's? So people with navi can map their route and people w/o navi can look it up in Yahoo maps or Mapquest. Is it the one in Moorpartk? If so, the address is:

872 New Los Angeles Ave
Moorpark, CA 93021

Issac:
You're always welcome to join our run! ...even in your MR2.
Besides, I'll be brining two of my good buddies with non-Z cars. Hope everyone is fine with that.

Mr. B:
Hey, can you bring the gal in the pic?????

That's the one We don't really need a reservation since Harley knows we will be there. I'd just like to give him a head count to help him prepare before we arrive

Sorry for chiming in late, but I'm in. I just stumbled onto this thread and I've always wanted to take my car out to stretch her legs.

This sounds good to me.... anyone second?
I sometimes do the San Francisquito-Spunky-Bouquet loop on the bicycle. If you haven't been on these roads, you'll enjoy the trip.

The Rim of the World Pro Rally uses many of the roads on the run for transit stages, and the special stages are on the dirt roads in between. In fact, the traditional spectator stage is just off the dirt road at the top of Spunky Canyon.

I wish I could join you all on this run, especially now that I have a Z around and since it's so close to home, but the Roadster is already in pieces in preparation for SEMA, and the Miata might attract a little too much of the wrong kind of attention.
