Hey everyone!

I have an 07 Z and trying to figure out when Im due for my first smog check. Ive been told it starts when the car is 6 years old, but searching the California website didnt really answer my question clear enough. So for any Californians out there, when did you get your first smog check, or when is the first one due.
Im asking because I want to put on high flow cats and a bassani axle-back. thanks

 

Are you the first owner of the vehicle? And if you don't pass smog i can get it taken care of for 150 bucks that's what i do to my 03Z i got test pipes for mine. Only if your located in the bay area.

 

yeah im the first and only owner. Im down in SD and moving out of state in a couple years. just wondering if the six year rule is true. Thank.

 

yea in 6 years you are required to have a smog test. i believe every other year after that you are also required to have your car smog.

new cars = 6 years... no worries... plus hfc is a simple diy... exhausts don't affect smog..
