Help needed
Hello y'all. is there anyone in the 562 area that would be willing to help me install some springs? I would even buy you lunch or something. You don't have to actually do any work, i just need someone to guide me as i would like to know how to do it myself, lol. I don't feel like taking it to a shop because i'd rather not pay for someone to install em and it would be good experience for me. Plus i could meet another Z owner!!
i should be getting my springs this week. thanks guys
-Mike

WHat springs did you buy?
I had a buddy of mine order some eibach sportlines from his buddy's shop. But i was reading and am now not sure about them cuz people were saying i will need new shocks soon due to the springs
My car used to have tanabe gf210s springs. I bought the car with 9k miles by 22k needed new rear tires due to negative camber. 25k rear shocks were going out so i upgraded to coilovers. and got a rear camber kit so now im good to go. But you might want to do a camber kit as well so you dont wear those tires out faster. should told me I would of sold you my old springs real cheap lol
coilovers are just so expensive dude! =( I want to get a v2 replica kit, 4.08 final drive etc etc.... lol i need to win the lotto one time. just ONCE. even only 50,000 bux lol
If you lower the car more that 8th of an inch you may need camber kits to be able to get it within factory specs again and avoid excessive tire wear. If your shock have a fair amount of use already it's best to buy new ones when changing your springs . You can try the HP blues ,pretty light on the wallet and better than OEM. Hit me up if you need a hand , I'm always around Whittier .

Yeah I found that out, lol. i thought it was just plug and play, but, it's plug, spend some more money, plug again, and then, oh nevermind, spend more money, plug and THEN you can play, lol.
Funny you mention the hp shocks cuz those were the exact ones i was looking for! Cool thanks for the offer man, appreciate it, i'll let you know =)
BTW, just a quick question regarding coilovers. Are they just for the ability to adjust ride height? would getting springs and shocks be the same concept as coilovers except that you can't adjust the ride height? noob question, just havent searched it yet

It's more like an entire inch, not an 1/8th of an inch. I have Hotchkis (3/4" rear, 1/2" front) with no problems. It's when you go past 1" that you start having problems, really. You just need a good alignment.
darn I just read about the HP shocks and people were saying that they are garbage and go out in less than 10k miles. is this true? I read that the HP's are more so an OEM replacement than anything. People said to go with KONI yellows but i cant afford 800 dollar shocks, lol
