Default Be Careful On those Runs!!!

http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/sh...hreadid=137540

I know Iris posted this link on the other thread for this up and coming run. Just wanted to post it for those that might not be reading that thread.

Just want everyone to be safe!!!

side note:
I have been on two seperate runs that have ended with serious damage to two cars and I am glad both drivers were ok.

Actually I need to get my brakes looked at before I go on another run and I havent had the time to take my car into the shop. The last run I went on everytime I took a corner and my VDC braking was activated my car made a funny noise and grinding feel (like when you have worn out your brake pads), but they are not worn out... I should have bought the brembos.

But now that my wife has a new job and works regular hours (not weekends) we will probably go on more runs after I get my car looked at.

That is normal. The funny noise and grinding is ABS working.

Yeah she used to work at Nordstrom but left because of the schedule so now she is back at an office.

The braking never made the noise before until the last run or maybe i never drove the car that hard before... I thought the ABS braking would be smooth. The braking that happened on my turns were very rough.

Hey Pat, good to hear from you. I'm glad she left the job, it sucked that you had to come to SD alone.

I had a dear friend killed last summer when he rolled his Miata. He was 45 years old and was not speeding. His car slid on water as he rounded a curve, hit a ditch and flipped over(no rollbar).I was the first to arrive at the scene but he was already dead. The image of his car wheels up is something I won't forget. Our runs were never reckless and no traffic violations were incurred but sometimes things happen.

It's not limited to us Californians though..if it were, the smart people would just move away. stupidity is widespread.

hey guys we need to be careful not only on runs but on meets now 2. My buddy is with a online club MITSUBISHI EVO 8'S in so cal. He said that cops are surfing there and other enthusiats websites and there showing up to there meets, events, and runs. There popping them off left and right in and around their gatherings for the most simplest mods. Just wanted 2 keep everyone informed. BE CAREFUL GUYS
