I guess it was about 30 minutes ago, I hear a double boom, actually felt the pressure wave. Ran out to the balcony, didn't see any smoke anywhere, thought maybe something blew up somewhere.

Now I get on line and I see the space shuttle was diverted to Edwards AFB. I figure the noises were sonice booms from the shuttle. I had no idea they would be that loud.

Anyone else hear it?

Funny thing is that I was watching a Discovery Channel DVD on the space program and was on a section about the Columbia re-entry burn up.

I'm in Anaheim, and I didn't hear anything. I wish I would have heard it though since I've never heard one before

 

I'm 10 minutes from the base, I heard it AND felt it.

I'm right next to Edwards. It shook my front door so hard I thought it was a robber.

 

i usta live in palmdale in the mid to late 90's... there usta be sonic booms at least 5-6 times a week... since the population explosion out there they really cut back on those type of activities

im in santa clarita and it shook my house twice... pretty damn loud... i was actually trolling so cal marketplace when it happened lol

 

yeah theyre loud..should check out a lunch, its freaking loud also
