My point was only that cali is so tight on smog restrictions and car laws that its easier to mod your car, build ur engine ect with out of state plates. I have a friend who has Oregon plates on his car with plenty of illegal mods and never or very rarely get hassled by the authorities. In the end its just something less to deal with

^ I tried that back in the late 90's. I had my Rx7 registered in SC, and I had a SC DL. I was pulled over for a loud exhaust and the Arcadia cop said I have to register my Rx7 within 6 weeks. That kind of sucked, but I never got a ticket in that car after I registered it in CA. I guess the SC plates stuck out more than my car Lol!
