Today when i started my car i heard squeaky noises from my car. I was already late to work so i just drive there without checking. After work i opened my hood, i heard the same sound coming from the serpentine belt. I noticed little wear on the enge of the belt. I not sure if its rubbing against something or what. So to get to the point, i made an appointment at cerritos nissan dealship tomorrow for inspection since its still under warranty. Did you guys ever go there for service or should i spend the money and do it myself? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
If its covered under warranty, go get it done there for free. Why pay for it and waste your time and money? At least if the dealership messes up, they'll fix it, but if you mess up, you're just wasting more time & money.

It would be simple as that but i have problem trusting other mechanics. I am broke so i guess i should go and get it done for free.
Jun, don't take it back there just try to fix it yourself or have someone do it for you. It's just some $30 belts and some tightening from what I have read.
Take it to Corner3 and they will take care of you if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself.
They would of if they inspected it. Since the car didnt make any noise i just brought it back home.

Yea, i'll just drive it and see if it keeps making the noise. Over this weekend i'll take a look at it.
are throw out bearings covered by the powertrain warranty? i took it to cerritos nissan and they just said, all 350z's make that noise -.- and wouldnt fix it
It falls under wear and tear. I'm back from the dealership. Stupid car didnt make any noise when I showed the mechanic. Dang! Failed!
This is true. Even if they can reproduce the sound, they won't cover it. Belts are a regular maintenance item, an easy one at that. They don't pay for regular maintenance. That's your responsibility as an owner. You can change the belt in 20 mins.

350Z throw out bearings are noisy. You might be able to get them to warranty a throw out bearing if you can prove that it failed prematurely but generally, they are a wear item of sorts as well. They are generally changed when the clutch is replaced. That said, yours is probably fine, as I said, they are noisy. Normal operation consists of a noise that's there when the clutch is released in neutral that goes away when the clutch is depressed.
