Default Jason & Jeff will be at Irwindale 1/15 to see who's the man!

If any of you local people want to come by early... Jason and I want to run our cars against each other (or you guys) on the 1/8 mile this Thursday night. We will be there early (5:00pm) and be gone by 8:00pm as the lines get too long. I'm thinking even though I've got the intake, cams, headers, cats, pulleys, T/S ECU, etc.. And he has the intake, cats..... and a Tilton flywheel. The tilton on testing shows 25 HP over stock in accelleration (not looking for a debate here) on a dyno but no added HP on top. If that's the case my 270 RWHP against his 248 RWHP... would put us pretty even??? I think... We will find out. If that's the case it will make a good arguement for the Tilton.... I think... Jeff

Well Jason's 23 and Jeff's ??? I guess they're pretty evenly matched. Bragging rights or is this Youth and enthusiasm Vs Experience and treachery.

Jeff, Jason,

Why don't you guys come to Fontana. They have a full 1/4 mile strip. I'm planning on going on the 24th.

The 24th sounds better. The day before the Monthly Z run. That'll be awesome. Back to back activities with the Z people.

ok...

we did 3 runs...

(the time slips are not here so I cant post those but this is what happend)...

Jeff - took off, got a read light, 1/8th at 79.99 MPH I forgot the time...

Me - well, this is what jeff says "I looked back, and jason was facing the wall, i looked back again and I was staring at jasons driver side... Basicly.. I locked up with too much on the throttle and just spun... After I started spinning I pushed in the clutch pedal and got traction back, then put it in 2nd to go down the track and spun second...

2nd run...

We both got a good launch.. I have the exact numbers at home but this is how I remember it..

Jeff;
60ft - 2.2something
330ft - something...
1/8th = something...

Jason;
60ft - 2.6something
330ft - .18 slower then jeff
1/8th = .15 slower then jeff

That is where all of the power is shown rite there... Considering... I only have intake / high flow cats / nismo exhaust / 8lb tilton flywheel (not good to start from a dead stop with) Jeff has the TS Ecu which lets him rev up to 7200RPM... Im shifting at 6700RPM...

Here is the times for the 3rd run, the one time slip I have with me...

Make fun of me all you want, but I stalled

Jeff;
60ft - 2.258
330ft - 6.086
1/8th = 9.239 @ 80.59MPH

Jason; with stall...
60ft - 6.890
330 - 10.780
1/8th = 13.942 @ 79.66MPH

I am going to palmdale again with some friends tonight to compare my times to last time I was at that track... I really want to get launching with this clutch from a dead stop down... I cant really practice launching on residentail streets... the car is loud, and if i have more then 1200 RPM when i lift up the clutch pedal the wheels spin and spin and spin...

330 - 6.319
