Default For those of you guys who have had exhaust fix-it tickets...

I got a fix it ticket for my exhaust/tail pipes....I have my stock exhaust and I can re-install it, but for those of you guys who've had to go to get the fix it signed off, do you know if they do the mirror test (ie check for cats)?

I have ART pipes on my car and its a PITA to swap cats in/out, so I'd rather not have to do it if all they'll do when they sign off my exhaust is do a visual check the muffler....

Some places are going to be more relaxed about fix it tickets than others. I've heard stories where people have gone to the police station to get something signed off, the officer looks out the window to see their car, and they just sign the ticket without even really inspecting anything. Other people aren't so lucky though.

The cop just looked out the window, said he saw me pulling into a parking spot and wrote it off without going outside to get a closer look.

I got a fix it ticket for running tp and single exhaust and had to take it to the location specifically in santa ana. He peeked out the door and told me to start the car. I kept the tp's but installed the stock exhaust and he said good to go.

Btw, arts are quieter than regular resonated test pipes, which I had on mine with stock exhaust, so you should be good on the sound test.
