Unhappy got cited for ticket

Heres the deal:

Got cited for
26708 (a) Tinted front Windows (light tint but gota remove now)
27151(a) modified exhuast (motordyne exhuast no res mufflers)
27108 v.c. turn signal required 100ft

for those who have gotten the exhuast ticket, do i have to call the 1-800 number to see state ref or can i take to any chp? do they usually send me far?

for the tint, can i get it signed off at state ref as well or chp?

27108 v.c. turn signal required 100ft
now for this one, i used my signals so i dont know why he cited me for this, when he was talking to me all he talked about was fix this that blah blah etc. goes and writes my ticket and Baam has this turn signal infraction on there! what am i suppose to do, its on there now and pretty much his word against mine. and id rather not have a point on my record but in order to get this charge dismissed i will have to fight correct? I guesss my question for this, what are the chances once i get my fixable violations the judge will dismiss this charge on the spot if i tell him i signaled and explain the officer didnt say that's why he pulled me over until i saw it written on the ticket.

thanks for any info, first time getting any ticket for mods

some states have a waiver.. pay extra and no points.. good ole Indiana.

the only infraction that will give you points is the turn signal and not sure that is considered a point worthy moving violation... the cop should have video as proof, go to court and ask for the video.. prob be dismissed.. I wouldn't normally fix anything that is non moving violation because I prefer to pay there measly ticket as long as points don't show up.. hence why I just pay window tint tickets and laugh it off.. go stop a real crime ticket boys ( they like to be called ticket boys)

haa yes but the tint itself is $180 to keep as is vs $10 to remove. only reason i had tint was because it was a birthday present i could live without.

and as far as video, not sure if all cops have video. i took 4 turns while he was in back and i noticed him in back from the get go. im 99% sure i signaled all my turns because i knew he was tailing me, but the fact he didnt even mention that infraction to me verbally just until i read it on the ticket really irritates me.

I'm pretty sure he has a camera in his car.. hell, even I have a camera in mine.. to prove accidents and traffic violations in case someone tries to pull some ****..

If you don't care about the tint then take it off... I like mine and won't remove it.. free country and here in Indiana even cop cars have dark tint.. not usually a problem unless you have a crappy car then it appears you are up to know good. But I have heard CA is a little more strict about tint.. damn hippies, lol

just would like to know if the judge will likely drop the 27108 v.c. turn signal required 100ft once i show proof of corrections because thats the one that hurts the most because i know i signaled and it was just bs reason to pull me over. or would i have to fight that one charge another day

How much is no signal ticket? All 3 should be fix-it ticket... $75 total + processing fees? It was $25 per fix-it, not sure if they raised it now...

Just go to court, explain you had turn signal on, and request in-dash cam from the cop that pulled you over. You're proven innocent until guilty, so it's on him to prove it.

Regarding tint ticket, when I got one, I just removed it, went to local sherrifs, got it signed off, and then paid for another tint..... No way around that.

The exhaust situation should be easy.. Just put stock back on and put MD on after you get it signed off..

Best of luck!

27108 v.c. fees are $234 DMV Point 1. and i cant wait til april to pull dash cam video. a lawyer would have to get a hold of it like yesterday already as they do not keep video for long. and he basically doesnt have to prove nothing other than he said i didnt and cited me for it. And even if a lawyer would try and get a hold of video, there is a possibility there was no video, either way will not fork out for a lawyer.

A little story a couple years back my father pulled out of a shopping center legally, officer pulled him over for supposedly pulling out of a no left turn driveway which was the next driveway next to the one he exited, make long story short, day of court came and the judge basically told my father to his face that he was going to believe the cops statement as the truth because he is a sworn officer. So i know how that would go.

I just am hoping that when the day comes and i show the corrections for my 2 citations the judge somehow dismisses the other moving violation which i doubt. Im irritated because i know i signaled on all 3 streets because i saw him as soon as he got behind me so i made sure, i think next time a cop pulls behind me i will use hand signals as well to make sure he cant say i didnt

Wow seriously? Judge doesn't need to see evidence from cop? What happened to "innocent until proven guilty?" Does this not apply cases involving cops/government as the prosecutor?

Just cause an officer is "sworn" does not mean he would follow it 100% and be truthful. But then again, no way to prove that. Broken law system.

Anyone can become a cop. Just because he/she's a cop doesn't make him/her a person of integrity.

How many cases have we seen/heard of sworn officers beating up on inmates for no reason, for beating up a suspect in hand cuffs, and most recently, for being corrupt and racists? If these weren't caught on camera, these cops would've never been punished, and a judge would believe him/her because he/she is a "sworn officer.

Broken law system.

Next time a cop stops to hassle me, I just pray to God that he's a person of integrity.

/Vent haha

yes plus its traffic court very informal, of course in criminal cases police actually have to provide solid evidence. but then maybe it was the judge in my dads case that didnt want to give in. he did reduce the fine and give him the chance to attend traffic school even though he fought the charge and lost, which was a plus.

***Cops are now paid to arrive on court dates unlike before
Wouldnt you want a paid day off and just appear in court

I know because I got a $275 ticket for a $0.75 fire work last 4th of July.

Dont get your hope for him not being there. because he probably will

It's not always about them being off, but also about having to appear at other hearings. I've had friends get out of tickets because the cop had to show up for other court rooms on the same day.

by the way, anyone know how the state ref thing goes? i want to slap on a nismo exhaust or fujitsubo legalis-r with an xyz pipe with extra resonator for extra quietness but from what ive read they might give me a hard time because its aftermarket. or do they just check the decibel level?

if you have aftermarket exhaust and they say its good, do you get proof so next time you get pulled over your covered?

might not want to put on a resonator.
my buddy has a g35 coupe. few basic mods. including full exhaust and test pipes.

he put on a resonator for the same reason...to quite it.
But it created tooo much back pressure and the car lost ALOT of its torque, and had an unpleasant hiss. and a week later had it removed.

**Never hurd of a cop giving a note or whatever to pass an exhaust er anything. wouldnt assume its legal

well i threw on the stock and removed tint. Theres so much to learn about what you can get away but i dont have the time now, i thought i couldve thrown on a fujitsubo legalis-r with an xyz pipe with resonator piece and it should've passed decibel test but who knows if they would give me problems because its an aftermarket exhuast

I was under the impression those are all fix it tickets except for the turn signals, aren't they? Remove tint, throw oem exhaust back on and have it signed off by an officer?
