Default Did Ortega Run Solo

Hey guys,

I have been trying to find some good runs in the OC area. Since my Girlfriend was buying a new car in Tamecula, I had a good excuse to run ortega hwy a few times.

Infact, I ran it three times in the last two days, and man is that road fun. I dont know if I would recomend a bunch of us screaming through it though. Some of the turns are REALLY nasty, and I believe is it consiered to be the most dangerous piece of road in California, or maybe just Socal.

The speed limit is 55, but honestly when I ran it at night, I did not feel comfterbale doing any more than that, hell same parts even got a bit sketchey doing 45.

It could be really fun for a leasure cruise, but I would feel really bad for some one who wanted to tear it up cause its easy to get behind some one going slow.

A lot would also depend on if we wanted to run it at night of in daylight. At night there was WAY less traffic, but the visability is crap even in the daytime.

All in all it was three fun runs, and I only really scared myself once.

Yeah, I love the Ortega. My folks live in Temecula and I live in RSM. It is a blast to drvie if it is not to busy. I love running with the bikes on that road. They really can hit those corners hard.
