I'm sure you can fight and even possibly get most of that thrown out except the obvious illegal u turn and no license. A public defender would be able to knock those out granted you do have a clean record?????

So you think you were being picked on. You made an illegal U-Turn, you were driving on an expired driver's license, you had expired tags on your car and have illegal exhaust and illegal tinted windows. That cop was really being a *****. Get you stuff legal and you won't have any problems.

I agree, if you have a clean driving record, you should have a decent chance of getting everything but the u-turn and license dismissed. It's a good lesson of why you shouldn't give a cop ANY reason to pull you over- having an expired license just gave him good reason to look closer. Nobody to blame but yourself...

I dunno man, cops can always be perceived as being *******s, but you did do the illegal stuff so the fault is yours. I got a ticket for an illegal u-turn once and boy was it a biotch to pay.

The tint and exhaust, meh. Tint is technically illegal everywhere cuz it "obstructs" the view of the interior. And come on dude, the exhaust is a pretty obvious one. Louder = more attention.

I thought driving with an un-expired license is common knowledge? Esp in socal...

Oh and the front plate thing, I got a fix it for that once when I was hollywood (only city I've ever gotten it in, and that's it) and I just paid the fine of $25 instead of fighting it. I'd rather be safe than sorry, you know?

Unless of course, you're really rich and can afford tickets....

Bottom line, from all the whining you did on your post/reasons for being "picked on",
"its not fair"...
You are lazy.
Do you have a job?
Look in the mirror and ask yourself, who is the dick?

Cool You got caught

My main point in making the thread was to see what the odds of getting the minor citations off for the exhaust and tinted windows were since there was already alot of main stuff I got cited for. Two people gave me similar answers so thats what I needed to hear that yes most likely I could get the exhaust and windows knocked down.

When did I say I got "picked on" or "its not fair". I didn't list any reasons I got picked on or even say I was getting picked on. I never whined and said it was not fair. Now your just putting words in my mouth because you probably have nothing better to do when you get home. I am lazy right? Lmao I'm a full time student at USC. Where did you get an education? Do you have a job?
Look, the list of the stuff on your car, exhaust, tint etc is not legal.Plus, the license problem etc-just too busy to get this stuff done? You got caught.
Chances are you may havre got a cop that would overlook these infractions.
You did not.You got one that worked by the book.
Lesson learned.
My education,Univ of Chicago/MBA.Own my own business.

Issues that should be fixed prior to driving the car. As for exhaust and windows -- I know he was just adding to the list, but in the end... they are illegal in your area. You take those chances when modifying your car.

Dude I live in SoCal and I know how it is down here. Modifying your car is a risk in itself, and the way CA runs it, its hard to really let loose on a DD car and not expect to get some negative attention.

Cop was just doing his job; well, in fact. Just be more careful next time, you know? Quiet down the car, lighten up the windows, put a front plate on, and you are good. The Z already gets looked upon everywhere. Can't give the po-po reasons to suspect anything.

I'm guessing OP's car is absurdly loud, was probably doing an illegal U-turn and then had expired tags. Not sure why you thought the cop would be lenient since you clearly had a ton of citiations

No one is going to randomly risk their job and try to write off your ticket on a public forum, you will need to return the exhaust back to stock and get it taken to a state Ref as per the directions in this page:

http://asktheref.org/Services/Citati...oiseViolations

Your tint needs to be removed and then an officer will write it off.

Honestly, doesn't sound like you can afford to be driving a car if you're in school, my suggestion is to sell it....
