well, last nite after the Street Fury DVD taping of my TT install, i got to meet up with Ron and the Twisted silver Veilside car.
Ron was very generous and let me drive the car a bit after dinner and i am truly impressed. i hadnt met him in person until today, but we both knew each other from the forums...
Acceleration on Ron's Auto was very crisp, and i was amazed by the pick up it had. This is my second time driving an auto Z, and i have to admit, it's acceleration was just as good, if not smoother than my 6MT! i have new respect for the 5AT!
the stillen xhaust gave a very respectable growl, but yet civilized as not to dull your senses in the 3k-3.4k rpm resonance frequency area that most exhaust drone at.
the wing: simply beautiful. i love it! anyone that knocks big wings, i just dont understand why?! It fit the Twisted car motif nicely and the side skirts added aggressive styling cues to match... the engine bay was so bling, i swear i was looking into a mirror.
braking was great, pedal feel was much better than stock brembos on the track version, and i felt in control. the gull wing doors needed getting used to opening/closing, i didnt want to damage anything, but they were awesome. full vertical!
i'm sure Ron's 6MT thats coming in march will be just as cool as this one is. besides. this is his WIFE's car! how lucky is she! ^_^
thanks for the ride/drive ron.. i hope you write one of my TT setup when its done.
