Tre's exhaust is very quiet ... it suprised me when I rode in his car. Very very civilized under normal driving. I have never heard him get on it ... but thats when you want it a bit loud anyways.

I attribute a lot of that to the Borla exhaust ... which is very very quiet until after 3500 rpms then it just sounds a tad different than stock

no...it is a totally different design. the top pipe will fit, but the cold air pipe will not.

no matter what color it is it's noticeable and will be a fix-it ticket.

Can I use them in conjunction with hi flow cats...(if this is a stupid question it is because I am not a mechanic...please educate) also do I need an after market exhaust....any info would be very useful...thank you anybody for taking the time....several deals have popped up and this info will help me to make good decisions....

You cannot use both test pipes and cats. The test pipes are simply straight through pipes that replace the cats. One or the other. As for exhaust if you are going to get the JIC Ypipe a nice y pipe back exhaust will net you another 2-3 HP.

since we are in CA, i think the hi flow cats are better than the resonated test pipes because you dont have to worry bout emissions. plus, the advantage is negligeable(sp?) with the test pipes.

you have to make a choice if you wanna go true dual with the injen or do a y-pipe + exhaust. imho, i am not a fan of the injen sounds, looks cool, but not my cup of tea.

if i were doing this, i would go Kinetix HF cats, jic y-pipe, and fujitsubo exhaust.

btw, intakes do not do so much for our cars. they are usually for looks and such, i would stick on a pop charger and call it a day

Yeah got some info on the test pipes...not going to go that route...

Also what about the the supposed hp gains from Injen CAI and SES...claimed 22 hp...could you tell me the possible hp gains from going with the pop charger and fujitsubo setup you were talking about....btw thanks for providing the info....I am pretty much set on the hf cats and jic y-pipe...just not sure on exhaust and CAI....

please don't get the injen ses .... very bad sounding imo.

why don't you just FI the car instead ... you will spend about the same amount of $$ (vs. exh, cai, hf cats, plenum) and have a ton more power.... that should take care of the mod craziness
