Wednesdays come party in Long Beach...
Hi folks,
Just wanted to invite my 350'z er's out to Club Aladdin on Wednesday nites. I am promoting for the club and for my dj, ADL, who spins some of the best deep house from around the world.
Aladdin's is at 200 Pine Ave, Long Beach.
Dinner is available until 9pm and music starts at 9:30 or so. There is no cover and house drink specials all nite. Additionally there is plenty of indoor seating, a dance floor, as well as a full outdoor patio with a great hukah selection. Not to mention a full bar.
Anyways, everyone is welcome. Its generally a full spectrum crowd, and if you've never partied down on Pine Ave in Long Beach you're missing out!
Look forward to seeing some or all of you there this Wednesday as we start this summer off right!

Nobody could be a pimp like saint...
But I can try, can't I?
Anyways, yeah, I'm working with this 1 dj right now and pretty soon am probably going to be adding another dj and a hip hop group.

Also, this Wednesday we're planning on doing a promo gig for my DJ - trying to get a couple more nights on his rotation. He's been spinning for like 10 years, so he's very good - used to be an OC regular but stopped for no particular reason. Now we're working him back in to the LBC scene.

>> table/bottle services?
Theoretically yes, but its really not that big. We don't pack the place. (it is a wednesday night after all)... We're getting bigger & better (hell, we used to have tuesdays and that was just sad - we only just picked up wednesday because the previous dj wasn't pulling weight)...
Saint - I'd love for you to come out and listen to my dj. He can definitely put on a good show and I know you've got some contacts up in the LA area that might like to add a new opener dj..

Jen, I dropped you a PM as well, but the answer absolutely is yes. Like I said we get a pretty full spectrum crowd, and if you're not into dancing the night away the patio is always great to enjoy the music and a hookah.
Look forward to seeing anyone out there tonite!

***Update***
Due to a couple issues between club owner & DJ; Wednesday Nights @ Aladdin's is no longer. We may be bringing it back sometime down the road, but most likely with a different DJ.
If you do happen to be or know an aspiring DJ, please PM me and let me know. We're hoping to create a new Wednesday night experience in Long Beach in the near future.
Thanks for all your interest and support Z'ers!
Take care.

Dave,
Sorry to hear that. Hope it wasn't viloent. A couple of my friends used to own dance clubs way back when and those went out pretty sour.
I like Taco Beach.
I should've gone there for lunch today... (I'm in LBC today.)
but went to Modica's instead. Their Pastrami Sandwitch is pretty good too.
So, when are they going to finish the construction on those nice condos they are building on Ocean Blvd across from Westin? Man, I wonder how much the rent's going to be there....

Sho,
No, no drama whatsoever. Just from a business perspective it wasn't working out. Wednesday is a tough night to pull off anywhere, and the majority of who I can bring in there are college students. The club has a great turnout Fridays & Saturdays, as well as a good turnout on Thursdays. We were trying to make a Wednesday work out but there's very little demand for it.
Also Pine ave crowds are turbulent and unpredictable. Some times we would get a great walkby crowd; othertimes the whole city is dead. . .
The owner & I are looking at other ways to pull people on Wednesday nights, even considering changing the format to more of a lounge format, or karaoke, or possibly an open-mic night.
