Jgtcusa 12-18/12-19
Fontana, California Speedway, Saturday December 18 and Sunday December 19, 2004.
http://jgtcusa.net/gtlive_event.html
The GT 300 cars feature the Endless Advan Z and the CWest Z.
The GT 500 cars feature the SSR Hasemi Z, the Calsonic Z and the
Motul Z.
You can autocross your Z there too:
"Driving someone else’s ride is one thing, but wouldn’t you like to see how you and your car stack up against the rest? We thought so. That is why you can bring your ride and do laps on our autocross course. There’ll be a nominal charge per lap and you can do as many laps as you like until we sell out. The Autocross will have a driver’s lounge for you to relax in and bum advice off professionals. You also receive your own staging area. Registration for the autocross will start in August."
http://jgtcusa.net/gtlive_attraction.html
I think this is going to be the car event of the year. Tickets are $35 per day or $50 for two days. This will make for a great 3FiveZeroZ event. Who's in?

It should be an incredible event. I've been looking forward to it since I first heard about it a couple of months ago. The Time Attack should be pretty cool to watch as well.
Let's not forget the Grand-Am Cup race on October 30 at California Speedway. There should be 4 or 5 350Z's racing, including 2 or 3 of the Performance Nissan cars.

Seems like everyone has heard about this before me!
I just sent an email to Stephen Dietrich with JGTCUSA to see if we can arrange some kind of discount or other opportunites if we purchase as a group. California Speedway usually has group ticketing for 20+ persons and I'll bet we will round up that many interested people.
I'll let you know how things go.

I don't think Stephen will mind if I post the following. The price sounds great considering it includes VIP parking, tshirt and both days, along with the tent fan lap.

We need to get organized on this because timely response does affect our placement for the fan lap and parking availability. I am willing to bet the sooner we get this organized, the better position we can get at the Speedway.
One very important point, we need a main club contact. Anyone will do but it will have to be someone willing to take up the responsibility of collecting money, sending the money, collecting the tickets and distributing the tickets.
I'm thinking people like Scott Webb because he would know the best spots for us at the Speedway, AudioPat or Jeffa because they've probably handled this kind of thing before, CallMeAFlirt, Bullish or Mr. Twisted, since they obviously have a talent for this kind of thing as well. Acutally, come to think of it, Bullish will probably be elsewhere. I will be the contact if absolutely no one wants to volunteer but honesty, I'd rather see someone else do it for us. I just tossed out some names, but really, anyone can do this.
Please come to some sort of a consensus as to: 1) whether you plan to attend, 2) who you wish to designate as contact and 3) if you wish to volunteer for the contact position.
[Edit: As another option, I could contact Steve Burnhans CEO of FreshAlloy.com. I would bet that he could handle the contact efforts if needed for us. But, let's see if someone cares to volunteer first because one of our own is probably best.
Also, If ZuprCar wishes to take to contact spot, that would be great too!]

all i have to say is the california speedway track is a blast to drive.
I just did a track event there today...
I got to 125 on the front straight b4 I had to go into a chicane.
JGTC cars will have some fun... There was a McLaren GT-R there today... 175 on the front straight... that car was freaking fast.
