Default out at ENNIS for the first time!

When out there for the first time, Man I had a blast!!! Didn't do too well at the first run, but did ok on the second and third runs.. there was another blue Z out there, and this hot girl came up to me ask me what I ran, but I was only able to chat with her for a few... Didn't get a chance to run with her either.. Darn it!! I think she has a stock Performance with the chrome stock 18's.. Overall it was a awesome experience! I wonder how the other blue Z did?

I heard ennis doesn't prep the track well so don't worry if your times were not as low as you expected.

The first run was horrible, my foot was shaking so bad that I ram the pm too high on launch, peel out everywhere, and miss second gear and grind the **** out of it! I did 15.298
The second run was much better, I calm down a lot, and realize I don't need to launch at that high of rpm, and as soon I got traction, I just totally gun it! I did 14.185 w/.965 reaction time.
The Third run I was a lot of used to it, but tire still slip a little on first gear! My reaction time got a little better, but still not good enough.. .728 but I was still able to get 14.113. I didn't really expect to run, so I had my 19's on and my softball gear, speaker box So, overall not too bad than what I expect it. I was very please and had a lot of fun with it. here is some pics when I was getting ready to run the WRX, not the sti, but with bigger turbo, downpipe, computer chip, larger intercooler piping. but I was still able to take him with 2-3 car length.

Reaction time does not figure into ET. What matters is 60 foot times. If you can get it down to about 1.6 - 1.7 you will be in the 13's. get some drag radials, get the weight down and you'll be there. Good job for first time out.

One of these days I'll get mine out there, too. Glad you had fun, dude. Keep going out there and you'll learn exactly how to launch your car to get those times down even more.

if u are cutting 1.6-1.7 60 ft times u should be WAY below 13s.. and just getting drag radials on a Z isnt going to get u anywhere near a 1.6 or a 1.7 w/o a good bit more power..look at your 1/8 mile times and see what they are at.. if you are running 8.8 or so u are most likely running a high 13.. maybe even mid 13

Oh really? Here is the time from my best run.. I was really happy with it, but definitely have run for more improvement.

6.058 - 330'
9.176 - 1/8th mile
79.77 - 1/8 mile mph
11.863 - 1000'
14.113 - 1/4 mile
100.74 - 1/4 mile mph

very good times for starters! But I'm almost dead on about the 1/8 to 1/4 conversion.. 9.1 dropped to a 8.8 is easily a high 13 ... u hit a 2.2 60ft time.. there is a HUGE difference in a 2.2 and a 1.6 60 ft... hell.. there is a huge difference in a 1.6 and a 1.9 60 ft... a 1.9 60 ft will thrown u back in the seat and it feels good! a 1.6 60 ft feels like you got rear ended by a semi and actually "hurts" sometimes

Good job Tony! Respectable times for the first time out. It is really hard to get below 1.9 60' on street tires. Keep practicing.
