Default Where to drive in Austin

I just moved to Austin recently, and I am looking for some good roads to take my car out on.

I have been out exploring a bit to the west, but haven't found anything great yet.

+1.

Also, I think that some of those roads out in Driftwood near the Salt Lick would be fun in the Z.

zPilott,

The Elise group is the most active when it comes to drives. The S2k, NSX and Corvette boys often join them for the drives. Matter of fact, they had a drive just this past weekend. They do a drive every couple of weeks.

I have a couple of contacts that can put together drives of whatever length you want.

If you come out to the Happy Hour get together Thursday, there should be some people there that can hook you up with some roads to check out.

Most of the road info for this area is passed down by tribal knowledge not documented.

That would be a great thing to have though.

As for the happy hour, we haven't decided.

Watch the thread titled [AUS] Sports Car Happy Hour 4/21

If no one comes up with recommendations soon, I will just pick something.

Hi guys,

Sorry for being noisy but the idea of a "happy our" is very appealing because I will like to meet some avid sport car enthusiast in the Austin area. I just bought a 350Z recently and I've being a Z enthusiast ever since the car was released in 2003 but it wasn't until now that I was able to acquire one. Happy our sounds like a good idea, looking forward to hear any news.
