Damn, you went to Grapevine all the way from Wichita Falls AND you're willing to show up again next time? (Your location says California, though) And here I was, b1tching about putting miles on my Z. I'll make sure to be there next time, provided that I wake up in time.

For now, there isn't a meet planned for next meet. HOWEVER, there WILL be a gathering at the Texas Motorplex this Friday. Members of ZOS and few people from here, I think, are going to show up and test their car and their abilities. As of now, I am planning on going to that, for sure.

 

haha, trust me, i will go to any amount to show and im stationed at sheppard afb. so im in wichita, but home is good ol so cal. and you cant talk about miles for a show until you drive from so cal to greenville alabama for a weekend show. minitruckers for life. anyways, its all worth it. and im damn ready to make the trip again

 

Does that mean you'll show up to Texas Motorplex on the 23rd? It's located at Ennis and the doors open at 6pm. It's a bit farther from Wichita Falls than Grapevine, but I bet this'll be pretty damn fun. And more than 5 Z's you haven't seen yet will probably show up.

Somebody should really make a thread about the Texas Motorplex thing on 23rd.

 

Cleanandquick06 You should have told me you guy were at sheppard. I was there for tech school in the 362nd for F15 crew cheif back in 94. Does it still suck in wichita ?

 

o yea, still sucks. they banned all the good bars, the only pool halls we can go to is missile club and fat alberts and they are trash. haha. so were they still crew dogs back in the day? and i wish i could go on the 23rd but i have training that day. if it was sat or sun i would be there. wish i could

Here are the PICS from the meet this Saturday. You who didn't show up missed a really good time.

You don't get to go over to Mad Mike's house for a tour of his Memorabilia and some great stories behind them to often. Thanks Mike for the history lesson.

If you don't know who Mad Mike is, he is partially responsible for bringing the Z car to the United States and is huge in the world of the Z car. He and his wife welcomed us into their home and graced us with their hospitality. It was a great time.

well so far ive been to keelser, sheppard, im going to hill afb in utah next.

 

This was the best meet that I've been to this year.

We didn't have a whole lot of cars, but we had a lot of special people in attendance. We had a he11 of a time! It was really, really great. I liked making little stops and especially seeing Mad Mike's house...that was a special treat that words can not describe.

Honestly, I think I learned more about Zs and heard some of the coolest stories I've ever heard at this meet. So far this is the best car culture I've experienced yet!

yea, thats mad mike, in the last one next to his 240z. i wish i could have stayed at mad mikes when you all came. mike is awesome, he signed a copy of his book and gave it to me!!!
