[Houston]: Houston Shops: Update with experience
Need a good place to install springs (low price) on my g37. Also would like a good place to either paint or powdercoat my wheels (low price would work here as well) for my g37. I want the color to be the color of the GTR wheels, glossy grey. Suggestions. I'm in the katy area so someplace close would be nice.

Absolute Suspension in Tomball.
I used Wheels America off of Mangum and 290. Their customer service completely sucks, but they got the job done...
Good luck finding a place to powder coat your rims -the color of GTR rims. LMK if you find anything b/c no shops that iv ask or been to can match the color. I have a set of GTR wheels that I would like to powder coat back to O.G specs.
So,
I just found out today that I will be PCSing to Ft. Sam Houston. I have never been to Texas. I don't know anything about the tuning scene in San Antonio or Houston... and now I'll be driving 900+ miles from Ft. Benning with an exhaust leak so fierce my Z sounds like a helicopter *shudder*.
I was planning to get it repaired either in Houston or San Antonio before I report in. Does anyone have an performance/Z&G Specialist shops in either of those areas? I would greatly appreciate the input. A few of the shops mentioned here are either out of business or embroiled in some scandal, so I was hoping for some more up to date advice. :3
I will be running around here trying to clear post, so please send me a PM.
Best regards,
Agustin Gracia III

Without going through all 12 pages, anyone know a good shop to will tint my windows for a good price? I know Infinity does it for $160 but I'm hoping for something slightly cheaper.
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance
I got my Z tinted at Executive Tint ... and it ran me about $150
I know quite a few people that have gone there as well and have never heard a complaint. They use high quality materials that block heat and my tint never lost its color or darkness. As always shop around and form your own opinions, but I don't think a good tint job gets much cheaper.
Executive Tint link ... they have 2 locations

JC Autobody - GO AT YOUR OWN RISK
NOt OnLY did they botch a fender rolling job with cracked paint and pulled fenders when asked not to.. (they even rolled the front oN ToP of the already factory roll, and put little dimples in my fenders from the inner plastic screw spots...) (I specifically pointed out the rear when requesting the fender rolling, though i didn't say NOT to do the front...hmm, but they turned out to be dumba$$e$, looked at the front, saw they were rolled, and rolled em anyway)
BUt... They also broke two wheel studs and had the nerve to not tell me about it. I didn't notice untill I got home. They removed my rear spoiler a while back and did a crappy paint job with quite a few clearcoat drips and scuffs.
Customizing is where they excel, but for regular paint and body dont bother

The Awesome Shop USA great shop there located in huntsville,tx
I contacted them because i wanted to get some more steering angle out of my z for when i go drifting. i origanally wanted to have my knuckles cut and modified which is very common in the 240sx scene that i come from so after talking to them a bit they told me that would be a bad idea since the z has an aluminum knuckle but they told me that they could change out my inner tierods with spl inner tie rods and spacers and cut the bumpstop to get me more angle. so i made an appointment to take my car on my day off i made sure they could have it done the same day because it was my only car and i had to be at work early the next day.
i recommend anyone to goto them for anything they do everything from basic maintence to building fullout racecars
heres a link to there facebook were u can contact them to setup an appointment since the are by appointment only

looking for a tint shop, got my tint done at stereo fx again..Had tint done on my first car by them....They always do a good job. Tint 20% all aroung only cost me $96 including tax
no, state law, its suppose to be 35%...But I've rode around and been pulled over a few times with 20% and once out of the 7 times ive been pulled over, the cop notice i was illegal but he stopped me for doing a California roll on a stop sign. He let me go with a warning.
It's just to hot here to ride legal. Plus I have or had a inspector that wasnt so strict on tint. Haven't been there in a while though on the North side
