Default The HR engine intakes

This is something that I found out today.

The intake system on the new HR engine's symmeterical air intakes open more as you speed up. So if you floor it off the line the throttle will only open so far and then open more as you car increases in speed. This was done to reduce the shock of WOT off the line and will only go WOT after you have attained at least 30mph.

I don't know how much this will effect the performance but they say it help regulate the intake air so it is more effective

What do they mean by "shock?" It seems like it was designed to max some traction, speed, and most importantly fuel consumption? Does seem like a mod that'll require ecu reprogramming?

Shock because this will slow down the power output off the line. Instead of 200+ tq off the line it will limit the intake volume. You will not be able to use this on the vq35de engine. Just look at my post under 350z 2007. The engines are too different.
