Do you guys think i should do it? I have an '05 350z which i have had for about half a year. I sat in one of my friend's S2000's and i absolutely fell in love. Its just so different from the 350.
I'll probably be trading it in and adding a bit of cash for an '05 s2000.
Give me your opinions and plz dont flame =]
thanks

it's what you like. My 02 cent is i use to be head over hill for an s2000. that was my first choice regardless. I was unable to get a good price on it so i went ahead and gave a Z a test. My love for an s2000 was gone and came the love for the 350z. then again, it's not what we like, it's what you like. gl on your choice.

i was on the fence when i was purchasing a car too, s2k or Z, i think the Z looks better, s2k has better interior, i like honda's build quality over nissan, Z has torque s2k is rev-happy, in the end i got the Z cause of the lower price and exterior looks and i didn't want another convertable, i still love both cars

Oh and I every S that was at the meet at ennis beat the Zs so there goes your its no where near as fast thing.
Main diff between the two is one is a sports car that caters to everyone and is more of a GT.
The S is not practical, has a way rougher ride, is louder, and offers almost no options. If you want a car that is bread for the track yet ddable then get the S.
If you want a fast car that is comfortable and easy to drive keep the Z

Yea I do notice more girls roll down their windows to say "hot car!" and stuff like that when im sitting in my friend's S. The Z has kinda blended in with all the other cars if you know what i mean. As for speed, I'm not really worried about that issue.
Well, ive been talking to the dealership so it really all depends on what price they will give me. I have to get my Z inspected by them before i can find out.

Second, IIRC, Travis was hitting consistantly better times than BOTH of the S2000's.
Third, only ONE S2000, which was the most modded car in our group, got a 13.8. And that was only ONCE. The other S2000 was above 14. My times range from 13.6-13.9. Travis was around 14 flat most of the time. The other Z's and S2000's were doing worse than 14 flat most of the time.
Oh yea, I also trapped the highest.. 104.98 mph. I don't recall anybody else getting close to that, neither.
Haha, combat, I just had to correct you on your errors and you'd forgotten about me. No hard feelings.

edit:
BTW, the only reason why the S2000 seemingly gets lower times is because of their lack of torque, which gives it less wheel spin off the line, which equates to better ET. Not only that, they're also lightweight, which means less force is required for acceleration. Race a Z from a roll and you'll see that the mighty Honda S2000 isn't as fast as you'd think. Let the S2000s race on tracks and off the drag strip.

Lastly I want to add that I love the S2000 and I almost bought one myself. BUT, in the end, I chose the Z because I feel that it's just a better car all around than the S. Regardless, it was a hard decision.

I liked the s, but I was too tall for it and it had 0 torque. I didn't like having to rev to 5k+ to get it to move anywhere. Given the new s with the 2.2 is a little better but not much. The z has nice torque for DD and I don't have to rev the **** out of it to get it moving. I don't know how you say you don't get looks, I just added wheels and I get an insane amount of looks, I couldn't believe it.

I still don't see where people say the S2k is the same speed as a Z. I've beatin' an S from a roll AND gave him the jump. Past it up pretty easily...
I also took an S2k owner for a ride, they pretty much changed their decision on running from a roll since another S2k owner told them to run me from a roll.

Also from the ones that ran at the drag meet they consistantly put down better times than the Z's with only i/e.
So whether you choose to believe it or not it is just as fast as a Z up until you get to highway speeds and is way more of a raw experience.

I've raced a friend that has the exact same mods and pulled him by about two cars when my car wasn't running in top shape.
