I agree with Tren. I work in addison circle, and I will see about 4 other Z's every day (i think they live/work in the area) but i will see maybe 1 S a week. On the flip side its very common to see a high end import (Lotus, NSX, Lambo) and a lot of vett's!

I think they are both very close cars in speed, but I would have to give the edge to the 350z more often than not. Especially the newer ones. As a DD, the Z will always feel faster and easier to drive, but if you like the thrill of high revs + vtec then nothing can compare to the S.

As for the S being a chics car? I've never seen any chics driving or owning an s2k. Most just don't know how to handle the car. "OMG, 9k rpms?!!?!" I've seen plenty of girls own Zs though. For the simple fact that it has pretty BRIGHT colors and its available in Automatic.

And for the ppl saying they don't like convertibles? Hardtop FTMFW! Chics dig the drop top for the beach and they definitely love it when you tell em, its a hardtop..

and that red interior is just SICK!

Final Conclusion: I love both cars! How can you say one is better?

Zor S2K?
You can't go wrong either way.
Both are very nice cars.
I do know one thing, you'll get 200x
better customer service from Honda!
Honda KNOWS how to take care of customers.
Nissan sucks at that...BIG TIME!

Second, IIRC, Travis was hitting consistantly better times than BOTH of the S2000's.

Third, only ONE S2000, which was the most modded car in our group, got a 13.8. And that was only ONCE. The other S2000 was above 14. My times range from 13.6-13.9. Travis was around 14 flat most of the time. The other Z's and S2000's were doing worse than 14 flat most of the time.

Oh yea, I also trapped the highest.. 104.98 mph. I don't recall anybody else getting close to that, neither.

Haha, combat, I just had to correct you on your errors and you'd forgotten about me. No hard feelings.

edit:

BTW, the only reason why the S2000 seemingly gets lower times is because of their lack of torque, which gives it less wheel spin off the line, which equates to better ET. Not only that, they're also lightweight, which means less force is required for acceleration. Race a Z from a roll and you'll see that the mighty Honda S2000 isn't as fast as you'd think. Let the S2000s race on tracks and off the drag strip.

get would you like better, simple as that.

acts like 350zs are drag machines lol, sigh guess there are still those guys that think they are so badass cuz they had the fastest Z there, but they will stfu when they meet up with an even faster Z

S2000 is a vert, should be compared to the ZR if anything but if you compare it to the Z, take the pros and cons and weigh them and choose from there.

If lack of torque/power is the ONLY thing stopping you from the s2k, get a supercharger or turbo and call it a day.

Not one car is better for everyone, some are vert guys some arent, some like high revs some like low end torque. One thing though, the S isn't the best for the people who like daily comfort. Its more a raw car than the Z not in performance but just the overall feel.

Its not targeted for everyone like the Z is, as they offer automatic/manual and other things.

The s2k comes in manual ONLY and is a vert, its made for a specific group of honda fans lol

Thank you for bumping an old thread just to say what combat already said. Thanks for your great contribution.

BTW, if I find another Z that's faster, I will gladly congratulate him on his driving skills and/or car and I'll try my best to beat him. I'm already doing that with our top 25 list.
