What my dad heard was 2 years. He's an attorney with ties to the folks that are funding this giant thing.

2 years from when they start which they haven't done

If you are a skier, you know what manmade snow is like. And you know about spring conditions in places such as the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

You can put snow any place that you please, but it is next to impossible to recreate superior conditions found in places like the Rocky Mountains.

It'll be fun for a weekend getaway but you are right it's not going to be like real snow. I've done Aspen and Winter Park CO about 5 times a piece so I know what it'll be compared to. Nothing like real powder though.

Not sure how much it's going to cost to go ski there but the cost of building the thing is just under a billion dollars right now. That's the first estimate though. Obviously things can and will change from now until completion. I'm guessing it will end up costing more than a billion dolllars when it's done.

Cost of you going skiing for the day and whatever else you want to do there is probably going to cost you about the same amount as a ticket to Six Flags or something. $55 and maybe more.
