DrRick sparked the need for me to hit the track again I know I can dip into the 13's I have this Wed off the 14th and wanted to see who was up for it. I'm down most likely, just have to tell you when it gets a little closer. I just have to see how heavily my night is scheduled as far as maintenance work on our network, and it changes daily.

 

Oh, I guess. Wed. the 14th. 5:00ish if we meet in Austin. 6:30ish at the drag strip What do you think? Can you make it that early? Anyone have a camcorder, that would be cool.

I can make it that early, and I have a camcorder. I have a nice digital camcorder I never freaking use in fact. I'd prefer to meet in Austin and caravan. I'll bring a tripod also, I think we've all seen enough camcorder dragstrip films shot by shaky handed people.

That's fine with me. I wonder what time I'd need to leave with 35 traffic, coming from up near Fry's on Mopac. I never drive in that stuff, so I have no idea. I guess I'll just aim for getting there a bit early.

 

South Point Nissan is the one on the Motor Mile I'm assuming? I've never been there. I bought my Z at Round Rock. Sounds good though. Yeah, I remember last time we went down Jesse, glass on the highway, 2 hour delay. That was torture. So, 5:00 in the parking lot then? I don't think the gates open to the raceway until 6:00, so that should put us there around 6:15ish.

I'll be there Anthony. Yeah, it's the motor mile Nissan. Just exit when you start seeing all the dealerships, it's all still in a high state of construction. I'll be there at 5, probably a bit before. Let us know one way or another DeviousZ, if you'll be there or not. Also, if anyone else is going to be showing up at South Point, let us know so we know to wait for you or not.

 

I'll be there Rob. A buddy of mine might come, has 2001 C5, but if its just me, I guess we'll make it a 2 car caravan. DrRick, you in town? I saw you talking trash in the "Austin Meets" thread Rob. love it. I hope we can get into the 13's, I was sooo close. I've been watching the weather, supposed to be like 90 degrees at 5pm. If the humidity is up, it might be tough. Last time I went, it was like 70. See you later.

 

Yeah, I've spent quite a bit of time at the strip with bikes and cars, and consider myself a really good launcher/driver. We'll see how it holds up compared to the rest of the community I'm down to my fuel light coming on probably on my way home from work tonight, so I'm set. I might have to fill up a little on the way to the track, so it's perfect.
