Custom Door Handles
yeah that's what i'm talking about, that sounds like alot of up keep...
then on top of that if you consistantly enter your car in shows (if that's your thing) you will always have to bee checking you handles to see if they are in need of attention... at least with these you will not need to they are guaranteed for 5 years against workmanship and malfunction...
they are anodized and for those not familiar with anodizing (and i might have said this earlier) it is not just a layer of sprayed on color... it essentialy is an acid chemical that creates/penetrates the pores of the metal in which it resides, thickness unknown to me, then it is sealed with a clear chemical to prevent color loss...
you would literally have to TRY HARD to scratch these things.
we are researching right now on an insert to the reverse side of the handle, where you pull on it, we want to place a rubber strip there for extra feel and comfort.... it'll give it that extra grip and texture that we are looking for, not to mention prevent you from grabbing this really hot or really cold aluminum piece during extreme temperatures... who wants to burn or freeze their hands to open their doors?
we are curious about an ensignia for the handle to change it a little more to prevent any copyright issues...
we were thinking a company logo in the lower right/left corner (respectively) on the left and right handles maybe a 3/4" X 3/4" logo...
what do you guys think? nothing too complicated... anyone feel free to PM or Email me suggestions, pics or anything else.

Thanks guys for all the support,
how about an update on the list...
we're still working ont the website... kinda going nuts having just two of us do all of this, setting up website, promotions, newsletter, financing, following up the modeling, searching for a manufacturer, researching for a rubber compound, discussing warranty details, getting them legalized, setting up the warranty pool, discussing a "follow up" product, putting together images for you guys,
it's alot of work but i think were coming along pretty good... were trying to have a finalized product before december,
Why not just make some samples of the door handles instead of photoshop? It seems you are not serious at all with production if you can't even make samples. Just make samples of each design or color or whatever and be done with it. It think everyone would benifet from seeing the real product instead of guessing/hoping of what it would be like.
I'm not really trying to be rude but it's horrible marketing. You have to spend a little to get back profit. If making a couple of samples seem this difficult, i can't imagine what product will be like. You have a list of people that don't even know what they are getting.

In order to make a prototype...a drawing is necessary for starters with most companies.
Anodized aluminum does scratch & color does wear with time. I have personally seen that myself.
I would be very skeptical before placing my name on any list.
Just my 2 cents worth! If anyone does not believe me about scratches & color fading.... just call pi-thon... they specialize in aluminum parts for autos. 1-805-383-1665

the list is for the newsletter as soon as we get that up... Thats it I am not asking the people on there to give me money or something like that...
I never expected you guys to be so negative...

In retrospect, you probably should've had a final product to sell or at least a prototype to show off first, instead of creating a thread 1/2 year before the estimated release date. This isn't an EMS, you know.
sure I can understand that but I wanted to see the market before I forked the money in r&d cost and what not... I really want to release a good product so its taking some time... Like I said earlier... I would rather take more time and have a flawless product than rush and have a POS...
I hope you guys understand that.

I discussed this with my partner... Mainly due to suggestion by the guy above and it looks like this is a feasible option... However it is not possible I understand to get every color made due to the large variety of colors available
So just post your color interest and I will try to get a sample... And if possible ship it to you... Due to the color variance in monitors...
However the ship-to option will only be available to those that prepay or reserve...
This being so that those that intend to buy can get a better match they are looking for... You can examine the piece and determine if it needs to be a shade darker, lighter, gloss, or matte...
Sound good guys?
FYI...
I think the guy who said it has been done before was referring to the LED job done by Acree shown here:
https://my350z.com/forum/body-interior-exterior-and-lighting-diy/206837-diy-led-door-handles-full-walk-through.html
He's using the OEM handles though.

Thanks GTNPU Z,
I knew about theses, didnt know he was reffering to them, and yes Acree did a nice job on those... I dont doubt his work for a second...
however his LEDs are held in place by an epoxy... Rather than designed into the hand from scratch... So a step over??? Maybe but were not going that direction due to wiring issues...
I know some will say wiring is simple... Put this wire here and that wire there and presto! You have a blinking door handle with Kung-Fu grip...
But we are looking out for the most basic of consumer... Assuming no knowledge on installation process on cars... So until we have a Nissan Certified Installer on staff were not quite sure who is to be installing our products at this time.
