i have done alot of searching and have come up empty handed, if there is a thread about this let me know and i need some opinons about this.

here is the deal ive got an 06 touring and my motor is making a knocking noise after i have been driving the car for about an hour or so, and it is only doing it when in first or second gear right after i stop at a light or something and take off. heres what i have done to the car if this helps any, i have a jwt popcharger and the powerlab plenum spacer, i had a topspeed exhaust system but just took it off and put the stock system back on. the weird thing is that the noise didn't start until i took the exhaust off, did that have something to do with it?

i am getting really tired of hearing this and need to solve it as soon as possible so i don't mess anything up. so if anyone can help me out that would be great, thanks guys!

 

it might just be one of exhuast hangers not hooked up..... you should check those out.... unless you broke a bolt when you installed your spacer or one of the bolts might have broke along the way...

 

Check all the bolts that you installed on the popcharger, spacer and exhaust. You probably did not tighten up one of them.

Where is the knocking noise coming from? Hood or under the car? Left or right? If you can narrow the location, your chances of finding it is better.
