Default Houston Car Audio Shops

Anyone know of any REPUTABLE car audio shops in htown? Ready to ditch the crappy OEM system and upgrade. I originally planned on taking it to Innovative Rides by heard Aaron shut it down. Give me some leads boys. Thanks

Depending on what you want done, it may be easier just to DIY.

basically my list consists of...

*installing Pioneer Avic Z-3 w/ bypass so that I can have nav & music at the same time
*installing Bings door pods with DLS Iridium 6.2's.
*installing DLS RA50 amp behind the drivers seat in the cubby
*installing audiocontrol DQT behind the passenger seat in the cubby
*installing Image Dynamics IDQ10 in one of Nazaars corner box's
*dampening of the doors, trunk space, etc. and anything miscellaneous that needs to be done.

i heard to many horror stories about car toys, circuit city, best buy, etc. id rather take it to a place that mainly focuses on car audio installs with good knowlege of the parts that are being installed

Pony Killer,

I'm going to an audio shop this Friday to get a quote on installing stereo system as well. The shop is located Hilcroft and Westheimer, it's called Executive Audio I think. My friend's friend is the manager there.

My reason for going to a shop is because I want to utilize the stock sub location (behind driver seat), so I want to see how much it'll cost me to either custom made a box for that location, or have them sealed that space for the sub. If you want, we can go together. PM me.

actually im taking it to rockstar designs in houston..was recommended to go there by Aaron (former owner of Innovative Rides which used to be a bad *** car audio shop that he closed down). Anyways I spoke to I'm assuming the owner/manager and he gave me a fair price on install and I saw their work so I'm not to worried.

i just needed a simple deck installation, pretty hard to really screw that up although i'm sure it's happened. your installation sounds more complicated so it might make more sense to take it to a more high end shop.

My cousin has been doing car stereo for the better part of 18 years. He did my system (screen, dvd head unit, infinity components and coaxils, 2 amps, 2 8" JL W3s, alarm). Everything is hidden, everything looks stock...even the tweeter housing remains the same. PM me if you want his info. He works for a car stereo shop (forget which one, he's worked at quite a few over the years), but he does things at home on the side at a discount. I always have taken my cars to his house and let him do it while I watch TV. lol.
